Founded to meet the urgent need for accessible, inclusive, and affordable housing in New Jersey, Empowerment Construction & Development (ECD) is a certified, woman-led construction and development firm with a mission to build stronger communities through equitable housing solutions.
Since its inception, ECD has focused on serving vulnerable and underserved populations—including individuals with disabilities, seniors, and low-income households—through ADA-compliant home modifications, affordable housing construction, and community-based development.
In 2024, ECD deepened its scope by launching a dedicated Home Modification Division, specializing in Environmental Modifications under Medicaid and MCO programs—ensuring individuals with physical and developmental disabilities can remain safely and independently in their homes.
In 2025, ECD expanded its impact by becoming a Certified Affordable Housing Developer, solidifying its commitment to addressing housing insecurity and barriers to accessibility.
Looking ahead, Empowerment Construction & Development is advancing into mixed-use and special needs housing development, with a focus on integrated communities for seniors, individuals with autism, and other vulnerable populations.
Through its innovative approach, hands-on project oversight, and deep community engagement, ECD continues to deliver projects that are not only structurally sound—but socially impactful.
